This solid cherry Slant Front Desk is custom made with details and proportions influenced from a few Townsend Goddard Desks made in Newport Rhode Island the second half of 18th Century. The interior is designed for use with a macbook, iPad, iPhone etc.
Each desk we make is handmade using the finest hardwoods available combined with a meticulous attention to details and overall quality. Handmade from the rough hardwoods to the final finish. We use traditional techniques and joinery to ensure each piece will last and be used and enjoyed for generations.
This is an example of the matched or "flitch cut hardwood we use for our furniture. A nice set of mahogany on the left. The board I am measuring was actually a piece 15' long and 21" wide, this is cut in half. The set on the right is for the Walnut and Crotch Walnut desk I have pictured on this page.
