Tea Table

Tea Tables
Here are two different examples of the tray top tea tables that we have recently made. Both are reproductions of Queen Anne Variations. One Newport example and one Connecticut. The Newport Tea Table is made of mahogany and the Connecticut Tea Table is made of Cherry.

This Connecticut Tea Table was custom made for a client who had a fine collection of antique furniture  and wanted a piece that doubled as a display case for some of his collection.  This tea table looks like an original but the removable tray top is glass.

18th century furniture



This  Slipper Foot tea table was originally made in Newport,  Rhode Island by the Townsend Goddard furniture makers circa 1760, this example sold at Christie’s in 2005 for 350,000.  Details point toward John Goddard as the original maker. The original tea table is on the left and the reproduction we made is on the right. For more information on the original tea table visit Christie’s website.

Nightstands with a bamboo ring style turned legs

Nightstands

We custom made these nightstands with some spectacular tiger maple and a design that had influences and details that work well in our clients home.  The legs are turned with a ring style bamboo design.  The drawers are made of solid quarter-sawn poplar and are joined with hand cut dovetail joinery.

Double Dresser




This 7 drawer double dresser is custom made with a look that can fit into both a traditional and contemporary setting.   This example of this chest is made of premium grade mahogany. The sides and top are made from one 20" wide plank.   Hand cut dovetail joinery decorates this double chest with exposed sliding dovetails joining the drawer dividers to the case and 7 fully dovetailed drawers made of solid quarter-sawn poplar.  
This Double Dresser can be custom made in a variety of sizes in both a single version and double.  Solid Walnut, Cherry, tiger maple and Birdseye maple look equally well on this chest.
